Jordan

Jordan is classified as a country of “high human development” with an “upper middle income” economy. It is also a Hashemite Kingdom and a very safe place for someone to live in general while in the Middle East. Hospitality, culture, great food and a great history is what makes Jordan a must visit place.I travelled in this beautiful country at the end of March and spent 12 days by exploring all these great things I told you above.

My trip began from the capital of Jordan, Amman. Amman is a densely populated city with tons of ancient history from the Roman and Greek Empire. My next stop was up south in Gerasa, a city that was builded by the Great Alexander and is well known for the visitors for its vast ancient ruins. I spent a night in Gerasa and next morning I drove all the way to Petra. Petra actually was the reason to travel to Jordan and it really didn’t disappoint me. Two nights in Petra is a must, there are so many things to explore except the Treasury, trust me on that!

After 2 days spent in the beautiful and picturesque city of Petra I left and drove all the way to the extraterrestrial desert of Wadi Rum. The area is completely a Mars on Earth. Amazing granite rocks and mountains with jagged edges and red orange sand leave you speechless. The Bedouins, local people of the area welcome you with pleasure and if you decide to stay in their camps will do the utmost to make your Jordan trip a memorable experience. 3 nights in Wadi Rum was exactly what I needed, not only because the place is amazingly quiet but also the city of Aqaba it is just an hour from there and is a great escape to visit.

Avoid visiting Jordan in the summertime as the temperature rises up to 40 degrees and sometimes it can hit 45 to 50. Best season to visit is February to May.

An intriguing discussion is definitely worth comment. I do believe that you need to write more on this subject, it may not be a taboo matter but generally people do not discuss these issues. To the next! All the best!!
