South Africa

South Africa is the southernmost country in Africa.  South Africa has three capital cities: executive Pretoria, judicial Bloemfontein and legislative Cape Town. The largest city is Johannesburg.

My trip to South Africa began from Athens in the middle of December and lasted 19 days by visiting the multicultural city of Cape Town. Cape Town is a wonderful city and is really far, far from Europe. Besides that, that’s the beauty of travelling. Cape Town really reminds you of a city with many  European elements. Whoever loves nature, the town won’t disappoint you. Lion’s Head, Table Mountain National Park, Botanical Garden and thousands of hiking trails is something you never miss if you’re an adventurer person. For those who considered themselves tough, scuba diving with the sharks is a great and memorable experience..Nope, I didn’t do that.

Many people think that the most southern tip of the continent of Africa is the Cape of Good Hope but unfortunately for you is not. I drove almost 3 hours to Struisbaai in order to visit the most southern tip of Africa which is located in L’agulhas National Park and where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean meet and the feeling is unreal! So if you have plans to visit the southern tip of Africa don’t forget L’agulhas National Park.

The Best season to visit actually is all year round but I prefer December to February when the summer for Africa starts!
